What Happens if you Can’t Pay for your Restaurant Meal?

By | June 19, 2013

hdupir

This may be a strange matter to ponder but I can’t help do so. When we were children reading comics or watching old movies, when people cannot pay for their food in a restaurant the restaurant makes them either peel the potatoes or wash the dishes until the price of their meal is paid off.

Home Baked Pizza with HomeSlice Ready Pizza Dough

By | June 18, 2013

17-1

There is nothing I adore more than baking pizza at home. It reminds me of my childhood, when I used to sneak to the kitchen and grab handfuls of grated mozzarella cheese while the pizza was being prepared. I usually almost always have pizza ingredients

The New Westfield Stratford City Mall

By | June 17, 2013

wfmsc-023-1

Westfield Stratford City isn’t new per-say, Europe’s largest shopping mall was opened in September 2011, but I’ve never had the chance to actually make the trip before. When I finally did taking the Jubilee line, I realised it is indeed very huge, complete with a Holiday Inn hotel next door.

Breakfast at C-Omar in the Avenues

By | June 16, 2013

coby-002-1

Growing up in the 80′s meant watching a lot of Egyptian movies and TV serieses. Whenever I was watching and they had breakfast, I’d wish I was joining them at the table and eating from their breakfast, always plates laden with food and people sharing. Therefore when I knew that the modernised Egyptian-themed restaurant C-omar [...]

I’ve been a fan of Or Bakery ever since I’ve bitten into my very first chocolate brownie with an oozing liquid chocolate centre (post). Many chocolate brownies later, Or remained my favourite Kuwaiti-made chocolate destination and I always wondered why they didn’t open their own shop. I think 2013 deserves to be called the year [...]

Last May I was in Kuwait International Airport for the first time in many months, perhaps since October 2012, when I noticed a familiar white W and H on a blue background near passport control. I had to blink, for I thought I saw WH Smith’s logo on a bookshop in the airport and then [...]
