Thursday is finally here! What do you have plans for tonight? If you are a fan of seafood I recommend you dine at the newly opened Bice Mare in Marina Waves, Salmiya. We were invited there for a preview dinner the night before its opening last week.
This may be a strange matter to ponder but I can’t help do so. When we were children reading comics or watching old movies, when people cannot pay for their food in a restaurant the restaurant makes them either peel the potatoes or wash the dishes until the price of their meal is paid off.
There is nothing I adore more than baking pizza at home. It reminds me of my childhood, when I used to sneak to the kitchen and grab handfuls of grated mozzarella cheese while the pizza was being prepared. I usually almost always have pizza ingredients
A while back I was browsing different instagram profiles when I came upon a mouth-watering picture of a white sponge fruit cake. I’m a sucker for a good food picture, it can do wonders to my cravings so I checked out the rest of the pictures in that instagram profile. Not only were the pictures […]
When I passed by Shakshooka farmers market a while ago (post), one of the things I got for myself was a jar of wrapped sweets. I frankly just grabbed it when it was laid on the table when I knew it was “caramels” and I’m not a big fan of caramels. Fudge, yes, caramel OK […]
Growing up in the 80′s meant watching a lot of Egyptian movies and TV serieses. Whenever I was watching and they had breakfast, I’d wish I was joining them at the table and eating from their breakfast, always plates laden with food and people sharing. Therefore when I knew that the modernised Egyptian-themed restaurant C-omar […]

The best thing after visiting a farmers market like Shakshooka’s (post) chockfull of delicious items is the meal that follows. In my case, it was a scrumptious Friday breakfast prepared using some of the best produce Kuwait has to offer!
A friend of mine wanted to send me samples of her new home business to try and give my feedback so on Friday two big white bags arrived at my door from Cacao Sweets waiting to be tried and tested. The first bag had a
The best part of Thursday starts the moment you’re done with your work and you begin feeling all free to begin enjoying your weekend. I love having lunch outside on Thursdays and one of my favourite dining spots recently is in Véranda of Harvey Nichols. I cannot get enough of the place! keep going back for […]
Speaking of plastic boxes though the topic is eons away from fashion, I’ve been avoiding eating anything hot inside a plastic container that could melt into the food for as long as I can remember. Why? There are always warnings that when plastic
Ever since Véranda’s opening in March 2013 I’ve been there several times for different occasions and each and every time I’ve had a lip-smacking meal and an excellent time. The last time I was there was last Thursday with my friends. People were just out of work starting their weekend, the Avenues was filling up […]
On Wednesday I arrived home and found a packet of strawberries in the fridge. The label on the box said “Kuwaiti Strawberries”. As I washed and placed them in a bowl, I could see they were excellent, ruby red, very ripe, and extremely juicy strawberries. Their delicious scent was so strong, I could almost cut […]
Missing the weekend during the work days is normal. Day dreaming about the weekend every single waking hour of your work day is borderline obsession. I wonder that should be interpreted as as a sign that it’s time for a vacation? Now that’s Wednesday, my
