It all started during the maghrib prayers time last week. My husband was on his way out to go and pray in the nearby mosque when he heard soft mewing. There was a tiny kitten, mewing at him and licking her lips. He came back inside and told me about the new arrival and so he gave her Kiri cheese and she ate it happily. Read more »
We noticed one yesterday, a lone greyish brown thing walking right past my couch as I was lounging in peace. In an instant the invading cricket was crushed underneath a pair of nearby crocs. I was astonished, where on earth did he come from exactly? Before I had the time to process that Read more »
Yesterday afternoon I woke up late. It was a Saturday and my husband was out running errands. I was thinking about my lazy Saturday and my breakfast when I heard my husband call out to me”Come, come see the baby cat outside!”. Read more »
A month ago I wrote a post about a group of stray cats who had taken hold of our doorway (post) and asked for ideas on how to get rid of them. We began spraying the doorway with Clorex and Dettol so they sought refuge on the other side of the house. We could see them playing in the pots and hiding under the table. One weekend however, the small kittens disappeared all together. Read more »
When you walk in Regents Street you will see a knot of crowd gawking at Ted Baker’s window display. Last year they had a Santa showing his suspenders Marilyn Monroe style. This year its a turkey with bugging eyes with a crazy look about them and the fella is just so funny!
I wonder if Ted Baker’s shop window in 360 mall has the crazy turkey set up?
I adore blueberries. I love the feel of them being crushed under the force of my bite, squirting their heavenly juice everywhere. When I saw a blueberry tree in London I couldn’t resist taking this picture, especially given that Mrs. Lady Bird seems to share the same love for blueberries as me. I just wish I could grow a blueberry tree.
Do you notice someone else in the picture? Perhaps a second insect 😉
Yesterday was a gloomy day. I was blue and sniffing and sad when I was asked if I had ordered a cake? I hadn’t and the driver had already dropped the cake off and left so I went to see the Read more »
I’ve been wanting to buy myself a Macro lens for my Canon Eos for a long time. But I was a bit skeptic as I thought to myself I had nothing much to shoot let alone any photography experience. Two days ago I couldn’t resist the Read more »
Its been quite a while since I’ve seen a really really good movie. The kind of movie you know you would would want to buy on DVD and keep watching over and over relentlessly. The rise of the planet of the Apes is such a movie.
It starts with showing the cutest most adorable baby Ape ever! I kept going awww and melting at the sight of the baby monkey! As he grew I felt the hero’s affection feor the little baby he brought up grow inside me as well. I have to admit that I might be a bit biased since I am a bit crazy about monkey’s but my husband enjoyed it as much as me.
This is a good movie. So good in fact that while I was watching I was enjoying myself so much I decided that I would have to go see it again sometime soon! Yes that good. Highly recommended.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a long time you would recognize the strange purple pasta above. No I didn’t make it, my beloved husband Butootee made Read more »

At last! I’ve been waiting for The Hangover 2 to hit the cinema screen for so long, I was really looking forward to watching it. Yesterday we got to see it even though people kept saying it was too chopped up to enjoy in Kuwait.
For starters, the movie isn’t chopped off. It is blended in a blender to the point of Huh? Shino? What? Literally. Ever two minutes there is a minute off. We usually say the movie is cut up like a shawerma, this time it was pounded like a harissa!
Even though, it was hilarious! Even more hilarious than the first one though it was predictable. I can’t wait for it to come out on DVD to see it, I feel like I’ve only seen a prolonged trailer. O that guy with the beard? I’ve always thought that he wasn’t that funny o thaqeel 6eena shwaya but in this movie he was really really funny o kesar kha6ry w3liya!
Oh I almost forgot…

We are still in May, yet when I came home a few days ago I found this disgusting gray brai39i perched on the wall besides the front door waiting, biding his time g63!
I am afraid of all animals, but the brai39i in particular makes me sick to my stomach. Its just too slimy and too gray… Isn’t it a bit too early for Brai39ia now? Don’t they come out in July or something? G63!
Oh and Butootee couldn’t kill him, he ran away! I suppose he is lurking around the outside of the house somewhere… brrrr
I found a patch of sand created by our year round sandstorms on my roof… and this bird apparently had so much fun trodding in this sandy patch!
Don’t you just hate those sandstorms?!
Be like this cat… fall asleep happily no matter what your surroundings are… it’s the best way to preserve your beauty!

Suddenly overnight, wherever i go, i see the freaky orange buttefly looking at me, flying and fluttering it’s nasty wings at me, challenging me…
Yesterday as i got out of work, the weather was nice, i almost but ran to my car because of those butterflies flying around all around! I swear they were conspiring against me… i get in my car and i suffocate, i cannot open the AC since it’s too cold, and i cannot open the window to enjoy whats left of the good weather because those friggin butterflies are flying EVERYWHERE like dandruff on the shoulder of a jet black jacket!!!
The bad thing is, the birds seem to have taken prozac just to challenge the butterflies in their mania! You are birds not butteflies you cannot run a race in the streets! Go to a field full of flowers or something! Leave us in Peace!
One of those butterflies was waiting for me as i got out of my house today! Eshtabeeen! I almost went back inside because it just won’t stop fluttering infornt of the door!
I wish there was a giant fleet to take the ALL DOWN! When do these die?!
and yes i am afraid of any living animal, be it small or large…
When you wanted to announce that you kill animals in a Halal way for ppl to eat… didn’t you find a better place to hang it than on this road sign? Seriously? Why? Are you advertising a cure for cancer?!
I took this while waiting for my turn at the Surra Roundabout… those signs are there for a REASON!!! The “business” owner should be fined for this! Vulgarism should not go without punishment! Thanx to whom ever partially peeled it away! Urrrrrrrrrrrrgh!
