The car damaging accusations… By | May 30, 2011

buy Gabapentin for dogs online uk My dear VW Touareg was taken to the service on Saturday. My husband came home with some paper he gave me and asked me what exactly was I doing with the car?

Apparently the blue marks on the Touareg’s body in the picture above are all hits and bumps? and that they were inflicted by my driving? How strange. I don’t remember hitting anything, or seeing any of these things.

Apparently the VW guy was baffled but then why my husband told him that its my wife’s car he understood and began cracking jokes! How rude!

I am a very good very calm driver. I don’t speed. I don’t hit stuff. The only thing “bad” that I do is that I don’t brake before speed bumps. That’s it. No more no less. Eshda3wa…

Hmph. Have you ever been accused of something you didn’t do before?

My friend took her car to the VW dealership once, they returned it to her with scrapes on the right side, and something broken in the backseat. Of course, ‘they had nothing to do with it’. I don’t think she had a paper like yours, maskeena wayid kanaw yege9on 3alaiha cz she goes alone.

Ive taken my wrangler a number of times and yes they also do these marks all around the car, sometimes even if nothing is there… and ive realized that they try to put the remarks on all sides of the car so that if anything happens while the car is with them they would have an excuse and they can say its not us (but thats what i think)… But after the first time i would go out with the guy and check the remarks with him, and i wouldn’t let him put anything not there…
BTW danderma great blog and this is my first time commenting and inshalla it wont be the last… 😉

Hi Sweetie, Well I don’t think that your term is accurate! You may participtated into those bumbs even without paying much attention to it. Maybe parking illegally and getting scratched, tried to parallel parking your car, or simply ignored being there subconsciously! I know what you think :) You maybe angry but calm down and think through it and you will see yourself doing it. I have been there sweetie.

    • danderma says:

I never park illegally. Nor do I do parallel parking because I simply cannot do it.
From the comments it seems that they garage have a habit of writing about non existing bumps which explains my situation 😉

I don’t think garages are men territories.. I just think you need to level with them and show them you’re not an idiot who doesn’t have a clue. I once had a problem.. and I figured out what it was… took it to the local co-ops car branch and asked the guys there. It was just a loose piece. I took it to the dealership, they gave me a high 3 figure bill… when I asked what they did, they told me they replaced something big. I asked to go see the car before paying. I went and asked the guy to ride with me and took it out for a spin. I asked him if anything was wrong. He said no. I told him not to play stupid with me and that I’m not an idiot, do you hear that? he says yes. I confronted them about lying about changing the part, they kept insisting. I said I’ll give it to them, they changed it, but the problem is not fixed so I’m not paying. They dragged in a high positioned Kuwaiti guy, I told him flat out… I know what the problem is… if your engineers can’t figure it out, you shouldn’t have a dealership. I refused to pay and left. The guys at the co-op were great. They picked it up, got it fixed, and brought it back to my house for under KD50!

I make sure to point out when the dealership rips me off because I realized.. they have a reputation for doing so and for years I’ve been paying obscene amounts of money for nothing!

Wow! What a rip off indeed! They need someone who stands up to them or else then!!!
