A cute note that made my day!
By danderma | October 11, 2011
My grandmother was admitted to the hospital for an Angiography procedure (Qas6ara). While we were with her yesterday I saw a big lovely bouquet of flowers at her door with the card above. It was from my favorite cousin Abdullah
Abdullah, by the way, is a 20 years old ASK graduate who is currently in College
Now fess up, how many of you have perfect English handwriting and horrible Arabic handwriting? When was the last time you wrote in Arabic? or read something Arabic? or watched something Arabic -other than zwarat khamees and turkish soaps-?
And dear 3obada… min ygool “wa e7waneh” were added as an afterthought? Wain noq6at el khaa2 :p Thank you for making me laugh yesterday coz, your note made my day wallah 😀
Ma tshofoon shar wa enshallah etgoom bil salamah.
P.S: u should c my handwriting. It is even worse than Abdullah’s.
El shar ma ayeek thank you
Walaain! Worse?
I can read his message, but didn’t understand. Could you please translate?
Psst… I know how to read and write Arabic, but I can understand only common words that I’m used to! 😀 Weird? I know! 😈 LOL 😆
Lool it says “I wish you a speedy recovery my dearest grandmother, your dear grandchild 3bood and his siblings”.
Its not the wordings even though they are misspelled. Its the handwriting that is funny
Hehehe… Okies!
Get well soon Granny!
Thank you hon
I hope she feels better soon , but its really sad to see a 20 year old with this many spelling mistakes in arabic . it doesnt matter if you’ve spent your entire life in English school, arabic is still your 1st language .
Thank you for your kind wishes.
I feel sad too but I have to give Abdullah credit for his bravery in writing in a language he didn’t master. At least he tried
Matshoof shar yaditich oo allah egawimha bil salama we6awil eb 3omorha insha’Allah ;***
Ur cousins handwriting ethakerni eb my brothers handwriting!! Its so similar LOL!!
As an ASK graduate I have to admit I have horrible Arabic handwriting BUT I do read the arabic papers more than I read the English ones :p
Thank you hon :*

Thanks for the post coz and making light of my errors and amazing handwriting:P I’ll have to get you a similar boquet with a card (written IN ENGLISH or arabic for the laughs) for your next Book signing inshalla 😉
LooooooooooL make me proud 3ad in Arabic, o don’t forget the dots 3obada :p
Hope everything went well with your grandmother. Since you’ve mentioned the spelling mistakes the first word should spell أتمنى” بالألف المقصورة”
and you’re right the handwriting is a bit child-like:)
Notice the missing dots as well!
Ma TSHoF SHaR o TGoM Be eL,SLaMa Ya RaB

Aww that’s so cute hehe being an ASK graduate myself I however broke the stereotype as I have good arabic and english handwriting I can also now type in arabic slightly faster than I used to before.
But the sentiment behind the card is what matters hehe it is in fact so sweet and I do wish your grandmother a speedy recovery inshalla she gets better and out of the hospital soon!
You are a rare breed then :p
Ee he is maskeen! So cute and so brave of him to write in Arabic so my grandma can read it w3liya
Inshallah et gom lekom bl salama ya rab.
Lol oh god, I’m in the same boat…I swear my little 6yr old cousin writes better than me. It’s terrible :/ even my reading lol I take quite some time to finish a paragraph. Lol it gets even worst when you speak three languages
Thank you
Is your handwriting bad in all three langugages? Or just the Arabic one?
Ohh it’s only good in English lol the others, not so much
LooooL
not at all,
im gonna send you the pic soon and see for yourself
loool i’ll be waiting
My arabic has improved vastly because I have to read a lot of documents and paperwork in arabic but no way in hell can I write an essay in arabic! lol! And I genuinely try to improve my hand writing!
Salamat yaditich mat shoof shar inshalla! Alah egawimha bil salamah!
El shar ma ayeek Allah ysalmik… thank you so much.
You know ako booklets that you can use to enhance your handwriting, we used to use them in schools back in the 80’s! I am not sure if they are still used or not though :p
