Blast from the Past: Quantum Leap

When I was a child in the early 80′s, and back then KTV2 showed the latest blockbusters in a timely manner, there was this show where a guy, Sam, used to live in the shoes of someone from a different time and different problem and try and solve their problems.
The only thing I remembered was the guy’s name was Sam. I remembered the other guy who either timed him or enabled him to go from one place to another, and I remember loving the show to bits. Years later as I began to speak and understand English I remembered the show, the fascination that engulfed me while watching it, the different stories and lives and experiences.
I wanted to watch the show again, I really did, but I’ve searched high and low for its name to no avail. I always confused it with the show “saint” which also was shown at around the same time. Not until I was watching the latest episode of DHW that I recognized Bree’s lawyer as Sam from the show of my childhood! Only much older and more winkled!
Thanks to Google, 2 minutes later and I got the name of the show, Quantum Leap! Sam’s real name is Scott Bakula and his most noted role was actually that of SAm’s in Quantum Leap!
Needless to say I’m going to waste my entire weekend watching one amazing retro show insha2 Allah. Thank god I found it for I had been missing it terribly.

I just google it. It does look like him but its not him. Sam’s side kick was Dean Stockwell and the man they killed in DHW was Agnacio Ugly Betty’s father Tony Plana. But without the mustache Tony Plana does look like Dean Stockwell!
But it would have been very funny indeed if Sam was the lawyer defending the case of his side kick’s killing, twisted

Actually I don’t remember this show at all !
But I do remember “Knight Rider” was aired on KTV

Believe it or not I don’t remember knight rider. I remember “Elsyara el3ajeeba” though because my uncle bought it -or something similar to it- and all my male cousins were losing their minds over it, lifting up the car’s protective cover to take a peek during zwara and talking a mile a minute.

I know about it but didn’t really catch up to it since I was very young at the time, but my older sister was fascinated by it. She keep teasing me by saying that kids in my generation have missed the good old shows like this one and The Twilight Zone and now we are ruined by 24 and these new shows, but I keep telling her I’m not into these new shows either like 24, Haha! Except for few ones like Angel (but not Buffy) and sometimes LOST or Alias. And I’m enjoying Once Upon time thou, it looks interesting since I’m into the whole mythology of fairy tales.
I do admit I find the concept of this show fascinating along with The Twilight Zone and even thou I have not really seen them but I give them my respect.
And yeah, KTV2 was fascinating back in the 90s for me.

Believe it or not I’ve never seen the Twilight Zone? My husband however adores it and keeps saying strange things and referring them to things that happened in Twilight Zone.
But 24 is good :p so was Lost and now Once Upon a Time. I agree back in the day it was simpler and given that 90% of the kids didn’t speak English back in the 80′s so the factor of magic I believe was even doubled in dose

I don’t think I ever saw this show but my favorite was “Sliders” if you remember it! Hehe Scott Bakula played Chuck Bartowski’s father on the TV Show “Chuck” which recently ended.

I bought Boy Meets World all seasons oh and “Saved by the Bell” as well and I already have “Full House” the entire series as well as “Family Matters” and “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” the rest are going to enter the vault of TV Shows sooner or later
