Picture of the Week: Summer Fruit

São Sebastião do Paraíso

Summer is here, and so is the Raqqi! I’ve never been a big fan of watermelons growing up but somehow I realized it had grown on my. This summer however I found myself actually looking forwards to eating it, a new thing for me.

I have many ideas for this summer’s watermelons: juices, salads, and desserts! I’ve already made a yummy juice the other day, I’m now trying to gather my bravery to have it as a savory salad. In any case, I’m happy raqqi is here this year.

Are you a raqqi fan?

huge raggi fan! try raggi on a bed of baby spinach leaves with cubes of feta or grilled akawi cheese with a balsamic glaze! others would suggest rocca but i think it’s too peppery for such a sweet and juicy fruit. spinach is the perfect combination! so so so good!
    3awafi!

I am a big fan 😉 Try and cut’em into cubes, or use ice cream scoop and scoop’em out into tiny balls, sprinkl’em with rose water and put’em in the freezer! Get them out to eat (attack) like 10-15 mins before attack time 😉

As for juice, try to blend them with fresh ginger 😀 YUMMMM!

For a salad, check my Tribes post: https://ansam518.wordpress.com/2010/10/10/tribes-mall-of-emirates/

Hmmm mozzarella eh? I always thought feta would do but why not? Eshwarana? Plenty of watermelons around!
