I saw this very strange sign… another sign where the English is comprehendible while the Arabic is … well weird! Do you think there are some letters missing to make the word smch or does it actually mean something?! I am completely lost in Translation!

There is a fish that is called chim 😉

I think the three dots make a “che” sound and that it says chim. If I’m not mistaken (and I very well could be my Arabic is horrible) chim is the Kuwaiti word for Cat fish.

Why would they call the poor cat fish chim?! Sleeve 3ad?!!! i never heard of it before! M6abag chim?! Funny name!

  3. ZeroSystem says:

Well “Chim” is the Kuwaiti name for “Cat Fish”. Though in Kuwait mostly know one eat’s it.
Maybe they are trying to give it a cool name to make people eat it XD

Why would they call it chim?! Mo 3ajbne el ism sra7a o i never heard any one say imsaween imregat chim or chim bel feren or im6abaq chim!

      • ZeroSystem says:

        No one eat’s chim.
When they catch it they either throw out back to the sea or if it destroyed all the fishing lines they beat the crap out of it from frustration. XD

Why is it called chim well I guess you have to ask the people 80 years ago why they called it that. :p

Chim esemha bil Kuwaiti. Cat Fish in English.

It has a very strong bone on its back that can sting you. Hurts like hell.
