Breakfast: Heart Shaped Eggs on Bread…

On Saturday we unearthed a heart shaped frying pan we bought years ago and never used. We thought why not? Lets try it and see how the eggs will turn out…
2 eggs cracked in a bowl, whisked a bit with a hint of oregano, salt, and black peppers… and then added to the pan… i thought the results would be amazing… like a fluffy heart shaped egg with sharp edges and all… i was a bit disappointed…
7alat.ha kaseefa maskeena… which proves for the millionth time that i literally cannot cook an egg properly! If you are willing to over look the shape, it didn’t taste that bad on top of a soft white bun and a slice of sharp cheese… Butootee had other plans in mind though…
He placed the egg on the bun first, and covered it with the slice of cheese that was melted… the mutilated heart shape didn’t matter much anymore! Then he added a slice of turkey… a dollop of sun dried tomato paste, and a drizzle of chilli olive oil on top…
Some people might find it appetizing… i find the combination unedible… but then again i am a vegetarian… i cannot stand turkey at all so i guess my view on the matter is a bit jaded…
If you ever want to buy a frying pan that “supposedly” cooks heart shaped eggs… then don’t… it’s a complete waste of money and space… and i can see it resting in the drawer for many many years to come
I would go for Butootee’s! I love meat hahaha
I hope it works 😀
If you want fluffy eggs, try it with a blender! Yeah, you need bubbles in there hehehe but do not blend for too long, like half a min or so then put your heart shape pan on the stove on medium heat with butter… pour in the eggs
Blender? hmmm interesting! Never thought of using a blender before…
I am this close to chucking this stupid pan in the bin …

why do we gain?? cant we eat on and on and not gain 1 gram
I have the same pan… and have yet to use it!!!!!!!!!!
LoooL if it works for you let me know 😀
these are actually best used for sunny side up eggs a.k.a baith 3yoon not scrambled
mo i cannot eat sunny side up eggs
b3dain il groove is also too small one eggs if i use it whole…
For 2 eggs, add about 1- 1 1/2 tablespoon room temp water to your eggs as you whisk them. That will make them nice and fluffy. If you want them creamy, milk instead. Never fails.
El moshkila mo ib their whisking only… i never know when to flip them o remove them from the pan… i either under cook them or burn them :`(
have the same pan..o lai yomich i havent used it..was supposedly keeping it for when i got married (ya3ni romantic breakfast);p and i still didnt make him any eggs yet:P it would work better if u used it for fried eggs rather than scrambled:)
I don’t think it will work as well because el groove wayed s’3eer 3la one egg.. Insha2 Allah you have a life time to make him romantic eggs for breakfast goolay ameen :*
Btw. it took me 6 years to unearth this pan which i insisted on buying on the first place :p
won’t the eggs taste the same if they were cooked in a normal pan ..
tsk tsk women and food 😛 hehe
in my case it will always taste horrible… so horribly the same :p
But it’s the presentation that counts… mafrooth…
Where did you find that pan? My wife and I have been scouring the web for one just like it. Any idea where we could find one?
I think you can use it for other things instead of eggs instead of throwing it away. Like jelly maybe.
Also you can use it for making something that’s round and when you remove it it will have four hearts embossed on it instead of just shaping something into a heart shape. Maybe un-screw the handle out and use it as a baking pan for cakes and pizza like that, each slice having a heart blooming out of it 😀 I have a dozen more ideas and I’d never throw it if I was in your place
Nice ideas, might just do that. Thanks
I think you should use it for making pancakes
That’s a great idea! I never used it for pancakes but now I’m going to! Thank you
