Tokorozawa

I have found this invention in an amazing travel blog i have stumbled upon recently and thought i would share it with you!

Hart, a blogger who is currently living in Japan, found the above Can in a Drinks Vending Machine in Japan (post link)! Now if the Japanese are known for something it’s their innovative creativity! The can has a liquid drink and when dispensed it is actually heated… and when drunk it tastes exactly like what a bite of pancakes with maple syrup and butter tastes like, la o hot b3d!!!

According to Hart its too sugary… but then it is still something different than what we are used to! Many people wouldn’t mind trying it!

I wouldn’t try the drink to be frank, sounds too sugary for my taste :S  But don’t you wish you had similar vending machines in Q8? and Would you try this liquid Pancakes in a Can drink?

I also found out that you can drink ramen noodles in a can. Searching for that vending machine now, along with the elusive “used panties” vending machine lol.

Between the used panties and the slush pancakes I’m grossed out! Remember the Japanese think dried squid and seaweed are nummy too. Somethings are simply acquired tastes but pancakes are meant to be chewed and not slurped.

    We3aaaa.

I cannot still wrap my head around the used panties thing…
People in q8 eat sushi o seaweed and love it 3adi… acquired tastes for sure… but i agree slurping a pancakes just feels too…. slimy!

There’s one Japanese inventor who is known for inventing the weirdest things! I don’t know his name but I’ll try to find out… Apparently he invented the floppy disc and he’s won numerous awards for his inventions! :)

I have had this several times now – delicious! Contrary to what many of you think, it isn’t actually mashed up pancake, more a warm milk drink that tastes of a combination of maple syrup and butter…

There’s a lot of interesting things here in Japan. The Pancakes used to be very common here, but as far as I’m aware, the recently disappeared from the vending machines. Here on the naval base, its very popular, mostly because of its elusiveness as of late. They have other crazy things too, liken creamed corn and onion soup. Both in heated cans. The favorites right now are typically a Café au Lait and hot chocolate as many of the sailors here use them to survive some of the colder nights on watch. But seriously, if anyone knows where to find pancakes at the moment, let us know. Really.
