Ako Recycling in Q8?!

I have been receiving emails and bbm broadcasts about recycling in Q8 followed by the address http://www.mrckw.com/
I was very happy for there seems to be a proper recycling initiative in Q8… about time! We are like 20 years behind in that area! I went to the website and browsed around and to be frank i saw nothing relevant to an actual recycling programme to start in Q8 amongst us common people in households and malls or schools… or how if we did have a recycling programme at home would we be able to grab our stuff and take it to them for recycling…
Now let me ask you this… if there is a proper recycling initiative in Q8… would you actually take the time and make the effort to recycle your bottles or cans and separate your waste? Or would you think it’s too much of a hassle?!
YES! I would definitly recycle if we had proper initiatives in Kuwait.
We recycled throughout college, why don’t I do it in my own country.
In Kuwait we used up alot of plastic bottles, thats one area where we could reduce waste. We also use A L O T of papers at work, another HUGE area of waste reduction, and also newspapers.
Aluminum cans, the list keeps on growing.
Recycle, Reuse, Reduce the 3 R’S!
I hope to see a useful answer here… It’s not too much hassle at all!
For four years now, we keep newspapers and cans in separate bins from our main rubbish. I give them to a man once a week who takes them (to sell?) somewhere. I started this when I saw him going through rubbish bins outside of houses.
Last month, I started collecting our used batteries. I would love to know where to take them – but I’m not is a rush as they don’t take much space. I can’t believe how many batteries we, a small family, use. Will switch to rechargeable-ones where we can.
Thank you for this important post.
Our school has a recycling system. I don’t know where the paper and plastic ends up. I bet there’s a company or something.
In the past I used to recycle, but then I stopped cause the recycling company wasn’t very good. They would come every couple of months to pick it up, so i would have bags of recycling for them. I could have continued doing that but my mother kept on thinking that the paper = trash and she would get angry with me when I don’t throw it away.
So it was either recycling or listening to my mother.
we do have some, “supposedly”
i for one collect papers and have been doing so for the past 3 years..and calling companies or individuals who take paper for recycling..did u hear about Green Target Co? you’ll find them on facebook..they used to come pick up paper from my hime, but dont know what happened to them..so i found myself another co. ill give u the number if ur interested..
bs about the whole recycling thing..i started since middleschool! not the recycling u have inmind..as in using the paper that have printed incorrectly or papers that i cant use anymore..i used them as scrap paper until they were un-usable..and then i threw them..that was my recycle tactic coz i felt so bad for the trees so the least i could do was use the paper again and again..but now i do the collect all papers, paper bags, cardboard boxes, beauty product boxes, newspapers, etc ..i heard there were recycle bins for paper, cans, and glass in some co-ops, frankly i never saw them and gave up looking for them..but it would b great if we had seperate trash bins for those rather than a collective garbage can..
