Things 2 Do in London: Amorino Gelateria & Cafe!

On my last day in London I was wandering sadly & aimlessly through the streets of London. Light snow was falling and the weather was FREEZING. When I stopped dead in my tracks as my eyes fell on Amorino across the
street from me!!!
I couldn’t believe my eyes! Amorino?! If you have read my post about Bicester Village you’ll remember this amazing unbelievably delicious gelato.
No you know why i was shocked. Amorino is the maker of that heavenly gelato and now I am standing in front of a full fledges store right here in London! I crossed the street at once and saw this sign.
Hot chocolate! Just perfect for a snowy day in London. We pushed the door open at once and got in. The store was very cosy and warm and we knew we wanted to sit and relax there for a bit…
The gelato was there all right. It took every ounce of willpower to keep me from ordering some gelato. It was just too cold for ice cream and I had to be responsible. After all i have to go to work next Sunday.
We decided to have some hot chocolate instead.
Yes, that’s right. When the waiter pointed out that there are 28 flavors of Hot Chocolate we were ecstatic! I decided to go for the Milk Chocolate with whipped cream -boring I know, I don’t know why though- and Butootee took the Aztec Hot Chocolate with chilli and spices.
We placed our order at the counter, turned a blind eye to the plate of biscuits and the foccacina and the gelato, and sat playing with our sugar bowl and taking pictures. I liked how the sugar is individually wrapped.
My hot chocolate <3 now this is what I call Hot CHOCOLATE!
Although my hot chocolate was amazing it was nothing compared to the Aztec hot chocolate. You cannot feel the chilli at all of course but you feel the spiciness which bring out the chocolate flavour beautifully! I am ordering that next time Insha2 Allah <3
While waiting for the hot chocolates to arrive I began taking shots of the other items in the store: mouthwatering chocolates, candies, biscuits, and more! All beutifully wrapped up and very tempting! You wouldn’t know what to choose if you tried.
Amorino have one branch in Italy, many branches in France, and currently two branches in the UK with more set to open up soon.
Amorino is perfect after dinner and a late night stroll in Leicester and Piccadilly or to spend time waiting for your theatre show to start. The next time you are in London you Arequipa must visit for a marvellous Hot Chocolate in the winter or a scrumptious gelato in the summer.
Amorino’s is located in Soho at 41 old Compton Street, W1D 6HF and the nearest tube would be Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus. For more information visit their website link
