I was in the Souk District of the Avenues when I saw Ne’emah Perfumes store! Ne’emah perfumes are one of my favourite Arabian perfumes makes in Kuwait and they’ve recently started selling their perfumes internationally and their ads appeared in Vogue magazine. I wrote about them when they started having small kiosks in the malls of Kuwait here (post).

I can’t wait to see what’s more in store, For more regarding Ne’emah perfumes you can check their facebook page (link). They have a stand in the Avenues near Pinkberry Phase II and two stores, one in Burj Baitak and one in Abdullah Al-Salem Co-op.

Why don’t you Ride your Bike to Work?

By | April 2, 2013

mvopa-012

I saw a man heading to his to workplace today on a motorcycle.

The weather was gorgeous, warm with a cool breeze. Traffic was horrible even as early as 7 A.M. Roadworks didn’t help much in the traffic department. Drowsy car drivers almost slumped on their steering wheels -at least I was- waiting for the traffic sign to go green, and then there was this motorcycle slipping through traffic, not taking much space at all, and he made it to Read more »

The Taken for Granted Breakfast

By | April 2, 2013

gmb-1 We take too many things in life for granted, never really appreciating their worth until the day we stop having them around. Who would have thought that one day a simple everyday breakfast setting of cereal and milk with some coffee would be something of a reckless luxury for me? Read more »

Blast from the Past: Kung-Fu on MSX

By | April 1, 2013

bftpkfomsx-007 Long before we met Mortal Combat and Street Fighter, there was a game on MSX, perhaps one of the earliest fighting/martial arts games, by the name of Kung Fu. I almost forgotten all about it then one day it just passed through my memory and I began searching my list of roms for it. The name wasn’t Kung Fu, it was Yie Ar Kung-Fu which is why it took me a while to locate it. Read more »

The GCC Bloggers Blogs Aggregator

By | March 31, 2013

tgbba
There is a new blogs aggregator in town and this time it’s dedicated for all the blogs from the GCC countries. If you reside in the GCC and have your own blog, you can add it by simply registering in a few simple steps and voila your blog feed will join that of other individuals blogging from around the GCC. I have to say I’m quite intrigued, I want to see how blogs are progressing around the gulf region :)

The URL is www.GccBloggers.com and wether you own a blog or just read blog, you should check it out. I think it needs a bit of lines and colors since there are a lot of white around but for a starting aggregator it does the inteded job very well. Good luck Gcc Bloggers, keep up the good work :)

The Pastry Shop’s Strawberry Tarts

By | March 31, 2013

tpsmst-007One of the desserts I’m very fond of is the strawberry tart. I’ve loved it ever since I can remember, we used to buy it from a bakery we used to call The French Oven that’s long closed by now. I usually only eat the strawberries with the custard filling and discard of the bottom pie, it’s always too thick, dry, and filled with unnecessary Read more »

10 Steps that Helped Me Sleep at Night

By | March 27, 2013

inastmi

In the summer of 2011 I became an insomniac. I’ve battled forever with my Alarm clock, the snooze button became my best friend and I was always waking up too late. My having a late start the first thing in the morning cast an unwelcome hue of irritation on the remainder of my day which made me both jittery and unhappy. I’ve tried my best to fix my sleeping patterns trying various things, I’ve even Read more »

Would you Donate an Organ to Save a Life?

By | March 26, 2013

wudao

The other day I came about an ad for a campaign regarding organ donations in Kuwait. The concept is not new per say, only much less approached and talked about in our society. In terms of organ donation it’s common to see loving family members donate kidney’s or perhaps bone marrow to a matching sick member in need. Blood donations are also done easily, but what about other organ donations? Read more »

Blast from the Past: The Goonies on MSX

By | March 25, 2013

bftptg-002

The Goonies game on MSX was one of my favorite and most special games back in the 80′s. One reason being was that I actually did complete the game back then and it might just be the very first game I’ve ever completed! The Goonies was based on a very popular 80′s movie by the same name everyone I know from my peers used to rave about it. When Read more »

Another Sunday is here and again I’m longing for my beautiful weekend with my few hours of peace and quiet. Do You Give Out People’s Emails without Permission?

By | March 21, 2013

emarnI once wrote a post about people who give out other people’s phone number’s to anyone who would ask without permission first (post). It’s annoying, vulgar, and every bit an invasion on individual’s privacy especially if it’s not a business phone number. If giving out people’s private phone number’s without permission is bad, giving out their private emails is Read more »

Finding Beauty in Black & White

By | March 21, 2013

Whenever I like a certain shot I take with my camera, I try to apply a black and white or sepia effect on it and see how it turns out. When the color is taken out of a photo and it still looks interesting, it reminds me of the moments in life that are colorless and bleak but still you get Read more »
