Do you have a friend who like all blogs except yours?

Lets say you have this friend, she is an avid blog follower and knows more about what is going on in the Kuwaiti blog scene than I do. She talks about the blogs all the time discussing their topics and latest news. Right up my alley you’d say. What a good friend.
Except she doesn’t read my blog. Or follow me!
Of course there is no reason for people to follow or like your blog just because you are friends with them in real life. People are free and have different tastes. But its been bothering me a bit. I can’t help but have the question “Why not my blog?” jump out whenever she goes on about blog X and blog Y. What makes blog X so much better than mine that you rave about it all day long while you wouldn’t spare 2 minutes glancing at my blog? What is missing? Is there something missing?
Its not so much the fact that she doesn’t check my blog. Whats bugging me is that every time she talks I begin to doubt myself, my blog, my posts, my choices. I hate that. Really hate that. Eshda3wa ya 7afoth?
I know I shouldn’t really care but on some level it hurts. Its just like saying I am not good enough or something. It makes me a bit blue!
So dear bloggers: have you ever had someone close to you not liking your blog but liking almost every other blog out there? If you do, do you think its OK to doubt yourself? Is that normal? I am really confused here.
okay that never happened to me but seriously your blog is just perfect because its urs … maybe her personality doesn’t match yours? or probably she’s jealous because u hv a famous blog & she doesn’t 😛 there could be a lot of reasons!
what im thinking about now is either;
1- Her personality doesn’t match yours on the blogsphere
OR
2- She wants to piss you off coz she’s jealous
Hmm come to think about it she likes to rub things in my face a LOT! As in “Blog X went to this place” and “Blog Y got invited to this place and you didn’t”… maybe its jealousy?

Some friend ! Perhaps she’s jealous? Cuz ur doing something that she wanted to do too?
Some friend indeed! Madry wallah! Maybe she wants to become a blogger but doesn’t know how otherwise why would she obsess over blogs all the time?
If she is a good friend then I wouldn’t look too much into it. Maybe she just wants to give you your privacy. Or maybe she feels your blog is different than you. If not knowing the reason is annoying you, I suggest you ask her before letting it eat away at you.
Privacy? No no that’s not it AT ALL!
I did try once but she just laughed and changed the subject… o kept on dropping her pearls of wisdom

Are the other blogs fall under the same category as yours? If yes, then Huston we’ve got a problem. I suggest you confront her about it. If she doesn’t give a valid reason, then she’s jealous…
Some blogs are similar other are different. Actually I did say to her face that “I know you don’t like my blog and don’t read it” and she just laughed and changed the subject…
Maybe if you’re very close friends, she feels she already knows so much about you and what you’re upto… And so doesn’t follow your blog bcz she kinda knows what you’ll be posting about (ahead of time).
Nope that’s not the case at all… as a matter of fact when I tell her about a new things she goes “oh wow how when etc.” and I blankly reply “its on my blog, I’ve written about it a while back”!
Danderma! as an expat living in Kuwait , a person like u makes one know more about Kuwait and its people-ur likes ,dislikes, thoughts , beliefs etc.I had a different perception about the people here but u changed my outlook and made me think diferently.U are doing a wonderful job and a service to Kuwait and its culture and u shud be very proud of urself and ur country!!!.Keep up the Gud work.Allah is with U!!

My mom. She reads all blogs but mine! WHY?!? Is my blog that bad that even my own mother hates it??;p
Wow? How come? Did you ever ask her about it?
It hasn’t happened to me, at least not that I know of. But I would credit it to being either:
1. Respecting your privacy.
2. Doesn’t want to enhance your ego (that is if your friend sees that you have a large ego)
3. Doesn’t mesh well with her personality
4. Doesn’t know that it’s you blogging.
But either way I wouldn’t care much because in the end your blog is for you and not the outside world, the fact that people are reading is just an added bonus 😀
I don’t think its a privacy issue, nor an ego issue as I am not one who likes to brag at all.
La she does know I am the blogger… but sometimes she talks about stuff that I have already on my blog. As a matter of fact, she sounds like a competitor blogger who is bragging about beating me to a post except she is not a blogger… that’s the was is!
Dont bother at all about what the people around you think or do, One thing is for sure… There are many people out there who loves to read yr blog & ofcourse get updated on many things happening around (me one of them

Dear you are not alone. I know exactly what you feel. I have a friend that checks blogs all the time, but rarely ever checks mine. I sometimes feel mad because she doesn’t really support me as much as she does for the other blogs. Shouldn’t I come before them?
