I’m assuming that quite a large percentage of people in normal households of Kuwait would say no. After all, should they even consider recycling, where would they take their recycled garbage to anyway? Garbage sorting and collecting isn’t that exciting nor that maintained in households where house help exists. Sure, when we travel and we are forced by the laws of the country we are in we do indeed recycle, as painful sometimes as it seems, and they say its better for the environment and I’m not negating that for it must have a tangible effect on the planet of entire countries enforce them, so why not here in Kuwait? Over the years and after every visit to a doctor when I get ill, or simply a visit to Boots in the UK, I’ve acquired a great and big collection of different forms of medicine. I was very happy for there seems to be a proper recycling initiative in Q8… about time! We are like 20 years behind in that area! I went to the website and browsed around and to be frank i saw nothing relevant to an actual recycling programme to start in Q8 amongst us common people in households and malls or schools… or how if we did have a recycling programme at home would we be able to grab our stuff and take it to them for recycling…
Now let me ask you this… if there is a proper recycling initiative in Q8… would you actually take the time and make the effort to recycle your bottles or cans and separate your waste? Or would you think it’s too much of a hassle?!
