Things 2 Do in London: Maoz Restaurant!
By danderma | December 13, 2010
When i fist so Moaz and to be absolutely frank i was shooting something from across the street of Moaz while my husband waited in front of it. Since i take forever to shoot he busied himself peering into the not so promising looking place… when I came back to my husband insisted we go inside to try it!!!! Apparently this caught his attention…
If it wasn’t for these stickers we wouldn’t have pushed open their door, and we wouldn’t have eaten that delicious lunch that day…! Inside the setting was better than i thought it would be…
We headed to the counter to take a look at the menu and see what the fuss is all about… an order here sign was on top of the cash register…
Basically it’s an open salad bar with many veggies… you can order a falafel in a pita and they would give it to you with lettuce only and then you would attack the salad bar adding whatever ingredients you felt like adding. If you want you can order fried egg plants and have your own b6a6 o bediyan sandwich too… you want a salad only? You can have it…
The vegetables are not just cut and served as is… most of them are either cooked or dressed with herbs…
pickles & olives…
Sauces part I
Butootee ordered their lemon with mint… which was ok i suppose…
We each ordered a half pita with falafel… you get the pita’s first…
We proceeded to filling them up… i chose only tomatoes & cucumbers… Butoote choose the strangest things ever…
Then you go to the sauces part II.. yoghurt sauce, ketchup, tahini sauce…
I like my falafel sandwich drenched with tahini <3
Then there were the potatoes…
We chose to sit by the benches overlooking the floor to ceiling windows… enjoying the view of the busy street filled with passer bys…
Oh forgot the sandwiches… by the way my falafel was so good i went and ordered a 2nd one when i devoured my first one *hangs head in diet shame*
Here is the location of Maoz… being near so many theatres in London makes it the perfect place for a quick bite to eat while you wait for your play to start if you do not have the time or appetite to sit in a formal restaurant…

I heard of this place was going to check it out in NYC. I was determined to try the best falafel in NYC but my mission took place when most Jewish restaurants were closed for Passover lol so I just gave up on that quest all together…but I think I just might check it out the next time I’m there
