Blast from the Past: My Swatch Collection

Earlier this week Meblogging posted about the Swatch Collection in Geneve (post), then Mark posted about his first Swatch (post) and it got me thinking about my first Swatch! I realized that by some miracle I still have my first Swatch so I dug it out and found my collection of Swatch watches.

The pink box contains my 3 other Swatches while the first ever Swatch I bought is kept in the salvaged box of the third Swatch I bought. That’s how much I love her.

I always loved Swatch, I still do. I used to gaze at their display in A2Z home store in Shuwaikh and marvel at their funky and unique beauty. I don’t know why but I never bought a watch for my self on my own until 1993! Which is this one, my very own watch beloved watch and first Swatch chosen by me and from A2Z store after careful stalking of their Swatch display! Its called Delhi and I found it here (link).

I love the numbers although for some reason I have a coat of paint covering the display!

I bought it in 1993.

In 1994 and 1996 I bought two more Swatches.

My second Swatch is the Le Chat Botte which is from the 1993 collection but I bought it in 1994. I found it here (link).

My third Swatch is the URGENT bought in 1996. I found it here (link).

and the last Swatch I bought was in 2002 from Swatch store in Oxford Street and its my absolute favourite. Whenever I wear it and -I still occasionally do- I get asked about it.
