best place to buy Clomiphene online uk mdm-001
How do you motivate yourself while dieting to continue on the path of losing weight? God knows dieting is not easy especially living in a country where our number one hobby is creating glorious dishes and consuming them. To me, my number one reason for losing weight is sadly not health-related although I’m beginning to rethink the order of that priority, it’s looking good in my clothes and being able to buy what I want without worrying about sizes that would keep me dieting. O’ de Rose, a Dazzling Boutique in Dubai

By | August 20, 2013

odrsid-004Whenever I am in Dubai I make sure to visit Gallery Lafayette’s home section and spend a few hours lost between the quirky merchandise they have on display. One particular section that I adore is a little corner with trendy Arabian and Middle Eastern furniture and home accessories with a modern twist. This past visit I was admiring a tea flask and asking the sales lady if it came in any other colour when she said they might have some in their original store! They have an original store? Habba Alert: Retro Casio Watch

By | August 17, 2012

A weird habba has been hanging on Kuwaiti girls wrists for a while now, something that reminds me of the 80s, a retro golden Casio digital watch. Back in 2010 I saw retro Timex watches in Selfridges and wrote a post about would you wear one of these (post) I guess now it has indeed become a trend but with Casio.

I think back in the 80s some male in the family had a silver watch but its fuzzy. I remember young boys in the mid 90s going crazy over some Casio watch with buttons that made phone calls or something and the girls going crazy for Casio Baby G’s. The only Casio I’ve ever went gaga over was the Casio Magic Diary back in 1992 or 1993 (post).

I surely don’t understand this habba even though it reminded me of the golden Swatch watch habba back in the mid 2000s. I don’t really like the watch much even though it has a retro look, its just not something I’d pick up and wear. I’m also not a habba girl so I wouldn’t buy something I don’t love just because everyone is doing it, whether Kuwaitis or fashionistas around the globe. I don’t think I will follow that habba anytime soon.

What about you? What do you think? Do you understand the appeal on this watch besides the fact that its habba? Would you wear it? If you want to, here is a link to where you can purchase it online just in case all Casio sellers in Kuwait had already run out of it. It costs around 9 KD (link).

By | May 8, 2012

This question is for my friends or followers who carry both a DSLR and a bag at the same time. How do you do it?

You should have seen me in the latest expo I’ve been to, with the clutch, iphone, and my camera. I wanted to take a picture, the iPhone tedarba7 o went to fall in the middle of the floor and in the way of passers by. You’d think someone would help Read more »

The Pizza Italia T-Shirt from Capital District

By | March 22, 2012

Early this morning I was browsing through the Instagram pictures when my eyes fell on the T-Shirt above from Capital District Kuwait. I was in love immediately!

Pizza Italia logo on a black t-shirt! Now that must not seem like much but to someone who lived through the prime days of Pizza Italia it just hit home! This is when fashion makes you want to dance, to sing the jingle of Pizza Italia’s ad, to go back in time. There is no need to say that I’ve placed an order right away for one pizza italia t-shirt and I’ve been singing the jingle ever since this morning! If only they didn’t have to close down 7safa 3lehom :(

7elwa mo? Etyanin! I’ve always loved Capital District’s designs and the latest designs do not disappoint. I am also a self confessed T-Shirt-holic. I cannot resist T-shirts!

If you want one you head over to Capital District’s website (link) and place an order for one. I can’t wait for mine to arrive 😀

When Baby Girls Carry Celine Bags

By | January 31, 2012

Poor Pheobe Philo. Had she known that her Celine Boston Tote would end up as a toddlers bag for Kuwaiti babies she wouldn’t have bothered creating it. What goes through your head when you see a little baby barely past the age of two holding the micro size of one of the latest it bags in one hand while holding her stuffed toy in the other hand?

The first though is intended to be wow this girl’s parents have money. The actual thought that goes through my mind is how vulgar this is. For a little child to be stripped off her innocence and to carry a bag when she has absolutely no idea that its a designers bag sold for $1800. If its meant to be cute then all it induces is how sad. If she is wearing that bag at age 2 what is she supposed to wear at age 10? A Berkin? At 18? At 21? At 30? At 40?

Would you buy your baby girl a designers bag? If I had a girl the only bag she would be carrying is a Barbie bag at age two. What do you think when you see a baby girl with an expensive designers bag that is taller than her?

Would you use a hair straightener to iron your clothes?

By | December 18, 2011

I was flipping through In Style magazine when I saw the picture above. It was a tip by the /magazine’s editor her ghd hair straightener to straighten out creases in their shirts!

I think this is a brilliant idea! Many times I am too lazy to set up my ironing board and heating my iron or switching on my steaming iron which takes forever to produce steam! Using a hair straightener is a quicker more convenient way to straighten out creases for sure.

I usually use, erm, my hair dryer to blow out creases in my 7ejab. I would be using my straightener next time for sure.

Would you use a hair straightener on your clothes?

London’s High Street Store of the Year

By | December 17, 2011

Shopping the high street in London is great, there is no denying that. However every year there is one high street store that stands out and when you enter you want to buy it all. Three years ago it was Dorothy Perkins. For the past two years it was River Island. This year it is -Surprisingly- Miss Selfridges!

I haven’t found a decent thing to buy at miss selfridges since 1998 but this year they’ve outdone themselves! Two metallic party dresses that I couldn’t find online. A lovely collection of quirky fashionable rings. Ruffled skirts in different colors. Long sleeve shirts with a twist. Flowery prints that don’t make you look like a grandmother, and a clutch that looks like a Cambridge satchel! Many of the stuff I couldn’t find online though 7safa.

I wonder if the branch in Kuwait stocks all these items? It would be worth checking out indeed if it is!

My New Beautiful Warm Cosy Winter Bisht

By | December 7, 2011

You know I am really not a fan of local designers artistic creations which in 80% of the time are nothing but mere khalajeen. I don’t even own a dara3a nor have I waited for any dara3a “collection” to come out. But the other day I saw something that caught my eye and made me really want to buy it. The Qumar 14 winter Read more »

Habba Alert: 7ejab Bu Tarchiya!

By | November 22, 2011

I first noticed this 7ejab style when I was in the airport this last Eid holiday. A Kuwaiti lady with her children were rushing in to check into their flight and she had this look. Its not the turban look no. Its a cotton 7ejab wrapped exactly like every one else except that its folded at each ear in a way that the entire ear shows. Of course on each ear lobe there was a huge gleaming earring. Showing the earrings is the purpose of this look after all.

I dismissed it as one lady with that look. But then over the Eid holidays in the malls I’ve seen more and more women wearing that exact same 7ejab style! Cotton, covering everything except the two ears peeking from below the two folds on the side, and huge earrings to decorate the ear lobes, reminding me of the old song in fereej el3atawiya “Tarchiya weya Tarchiya 9arat Tarachee el sha3biya!!!”.

The look is weird and I don’t like it. I’d rather people stick with their turbans if they wish to show off their ears. O ykon a7san if they take off that little piece of cloth and toss it somewhere else. Ya tet7ajeboon 3adel ya malah da3i hal halagat.

Next thing we’ll see is two horns peeking min t7t el7jab. Y3ni new look!
