I love museums, and history, and everything related to previous civilisations from bygone eras! I have this thirst to know how people used to live in the old days, before our modern day inventions, and what impact did their surroundings have on their lives. Were they different persons, or just like us, and how? What was daily life to them, and was it enjoyable? How did they come about knowledge, and what did they do if they were sick or sad? The past is a mystery to me that I’d love to unlock, I actually wanted to be an archaeologist when I was younger, that’s how much I love history. Read more »
Just before I left for Australia I received the “rosiest” invitation to the opening of Kuwait’s newest Lebanese restaurant, Joori from Beirut. I wasn’t able to attend the opening, but I’ve watched the beauty of the restaurant via my fellow bloggers pictures of the place on instagram and I knew I wanted to try it as soon as I was back home, which I finally managed to do last weekend. In the UK there are many farms where you can go and pick strawberries but somehow its been years since I’ve been to the UK during the strawberry picking season. I’ve never been myself but I’ve heard tales and seen pictures of people who did and I simply am envious! Read more »
Last weekend and on an extremely gorgeous day, weather wise, I received a heavy paper bag invitation from Kuwait’s newest burger place, Big Smoke, whose opening I attended last night. Inside the big paper bag was the invitation card along with an apron and a salt & pepper or herbs shaker, a perfect gift for the BBQ season especially in such a great weather. Read more »

On f2o’s instagram account I saw that there are new summer sketches to be printed on T-Shirts and other things so I passed by, a tad too late for many of the designs were already sold out. I did manage to get me the gorgeous Afro Dude loves Sunkist T-Shirt above and Afro Dude loves KDD ice cream sandwich in black below, I think the ice cream sandwich is becoming the classic star of summer 2013 for some reason. Since the good weather doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon we decided to have a good lunch outdoors. We thought long and hard of the perfect place to enjoy the weather, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food and finally drove down to Spoons Complex to have lunch at Pizzetta. A while back I posted about an Instagram competition by the talented local Kuwaiti artist Fatima Al-Othman (post). What I didn’t post about was that I was one of the competition judges. By the end of April we did our thing, judging, and it was quite fun. I’ve never been a judge of something before!
