Heavenly Pies from The Pastry Shop

unresponsively By | July 25, 2013

1-1

It was during the Holy month of Ramadan of last year that I’ve come to taste the scrumptious pies of The Pastry Shop! Excellent pies, with fresh ingredients and a flakey light crust and overall melt-in-your-mouth after the first bite feeling. This year I’ve had the pleasure of being sent more pies from The Pastry Shop, freshly baked and just out of the over, and they’ve been grazing my after iftar tea table ever since their arrival. Ikea Frozen Yoghurt!

By | December 14, 2010

The frozen yoghurt mania is still going strong in Q8… one latest addition to the Fro-Yo q8y scene is…. IKEA!

I was in Ikea yesterday when i saw an ad for Frozen Yogurt!!! I  used to be a fan of their soft serve ice cream back in their old building but ever since they moved to avenues something in the mix has changed… their ice cream is still very popular though and now they are selling frozen yoghurt too! There is only plain frozen yogurt flavor. Fruit toppings are either strawberries or kiwi. Crunchy toppings include fruit loops cornfkales thing and 3 other crunchy things. By the time of their closing (10 pm) they had maybe one spoonful of strawberry left and another 2 spoonfuls of kiwi… and it’s sold for 500 fils!

Have you tried their frozen yoghurt before? I didn’t have the chance yesterday but i am willing to try it one day…

Things 2 Do in London: Crêperie Amélie

By | November 21, 2010

Last summer a new little booth popped up in Bicester Village that sells Crêpes. I tried them the last time i was in Bicester and i could see where there is a long winding queue leading to the little cash register… the smell of crêpes freshly made in front of you… the choices… watching people grasp bubbling hot custom made crêpes and biting into them in the cold weather is just simply amazing. The last time we were there we ordered one Banana & Chocolate Crêpes and one Italian Savoury Crêpes… both of which gone within seconds and tasting heavenly! So worth going all the way to Bicester Village to try those yummy crêpes!
